Job Summary
The Production Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing processes of switchgear products, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards. This role involves coordinating production activities, optimizing workflows, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to meet organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Control:
- Develop and execute production schedules for Switchgear Assembly.
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Monitor production progress and resolve bottlenecks.
Process Optimization:
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and cost-reduction strategies.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
Quality Assurance:
- Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with IEC/ANSI standards for switchgear.
- Collaborate with the QA team to address non-conformities and corrective actions.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical guidance to production teams on switchgear assembly and wiring.
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment and process issues.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate production records and prepare daily/weekly reports.
- Ensure proper documentation for ISO audits and regulatory compliance
Cross-functional Coordination:
- Work closely with design, procurement, and maintenance teams.
- Support new product introduction and prototype builds.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
- 2-4 years of experience in switchgear manufacturing or electrical equipment production.
- Strong knowledge of LV switchgear, circuit breakers, and protection systems.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.
