Sr. Production Engineer– Switchgear

Job Summary

The Production Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing processes of switchgear products, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards. This role involves coordinating production activities, optimizing workflows, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to meet organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Control:

  • Develop and execute production schedules for Switchgear Assembly.
  • Ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
  • Monitor production progress and resolve bottlenecks.

Process Optimization:

  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and cost-reduction strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards

Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with IEC/ANSI standards for switchgear.
  • Collaborate with the QA team to address non-conformities and corrective actions.

Technical Support:

  • Provide technical guidance to production teams on switchgear assembly and wiring.
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment and process issues.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate production records and prepare daily/weekly reports.
  • Ensure proper documentation for ISO audits and regulatory compliance

Cross-functional Coordination:

  • Work closely with design, procurement, and maintenance teams.
  • Support new product introduction and prototype builds.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2-4 years of experience in switchgear manufacturing or electrical equipment production.
  • Strong knowledge of LV switchgear, circuit breakers, and protection systems.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.

Purchase Engineer

Location:

Andheri, Seepz (Mumbai)

Office Timing & Hours:

Mon to Sat, 8.30 AM – 5.30 PM
1st & 3rd Saturday off every month

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Procurement of SNC and Marine Panels with Siemens Switchgears
  • Preparing working sheets for the Siemens Switchgears as per tentative BOM given by design manually.
  • Preparing Comparion sheets of other than Siemens products and closing as per target given by Superiors.
  • Issuing purchase orders to Siemens prior to Efame Release with the help of team.
  • Distributing Jobs based on the priorities of planning department to team depending upon the no of projects.
  • Monitoring projected materials with all the vendors if team doesn’t get response.
  • Projectwise matrial updation sheet circulation to planning and plant daily basis.
  • Follow up with Hitech / Siemens for the delivery of switchgears as per Planning schedule.
  • Price support to estimation team.
  • Coordination with Design / Production / QC / Stores.
  • Responsible for managing inventory of all products.
  • Complete support to service team after dispatch of panels prior to installation of the panels at site.

Design Engineer

Design Engineer – LT Panels

Job Description:

We are looking for a Design Engineer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in LT panel design. The role involves preparation of electrical drawings, BOM generation, component selection, and coordination with production teams to ensure smooth execution of panel manufacturing.

The candidate should have strong fundamentals in electrical engineering and practical exposure to LT panel design standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Electrical Design & Drafting
    • Prepare:
      • Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
      • General Arrangement (GA) drawings
      • Control schematics and wiring diagrams
    • Design and support engineering of:
      • PCC Panels
      • MCC Panels
      • AMF Panels
      • APFC Panels
      • VFD Panels
  2. Component Selection & Calculations
    • Perform Busbar sizing calculations
    • Cable sizing calculations
    • Basic short-circuit calculations
    • Select switchgear components (ACB, MCCB, MCB, contactors, relays, meters, etc.)
    • Prepare detailed Bill of Materials (BOM)
  3. Standards & Compliance
    • Ensure designs comply with:
      • IEC 61439
      • Relevant IS standards
    • Understand IP ratings and form of separation basics.
    • Support preparation of FAT documentation.
  4. Coordination & Support
    • Coordinate with:
      • Production team for design clarifications
      • Purchase team for technical queries
    • Assist in resolving issues during panel assembly.
    • Support client drawing approvals.
  5. Documentation & Revision Control
    • Maintain updated revision logs.
    • Ensure proper document control and drawing release process.
    • Support project documentation submission.

Qualifications

  • B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of experience in LT panel design.

Technical Skills Required

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
  • Basic knowledge of EPLAN (preferred).
  • Familiarity with major switchgear brands:
    • Schneider Electric
    • Siemens
    • ABB
    • L&T
  • Understanding of electrical protection basics.

Design Development Engineer (Mechanical)

Purpose of the Role

The Design Development Engineer will be responsible for mechanical design, sheet metal design and development, fabrication drawings, 3D modeling, engineering documentation, design optimization, and coordination with manufacturing teams for successful execution of projects.

The candidate should have strong experience in industrial product design, sheet metal structures, fabrication processes, assemblies, and engineering calculations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop sheet metal components, assemblies, and industrial products.
  • Prepare 3D models, fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and BOMs.
  • Develop detailed engineering documentation and design standards.
  • Create sheet metal flat patterns and manufacturing-ready drawings.
  • Perform tolerance analysis and engineering calculations.
  • Coordinate with production, fabrication, laser cutting, bending, and welding teams.
  • Optimize designs for manufacturing, cost reduction, and assembly efficiency.
  • Support prototype development and production troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
  • Maintain engineering records and revision control using PDM/PLM systems.

Draughtsman

Role Overview

The candidate will work for Design and Drawing for ship-borne Electrical and Electronics systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed technical drawings and schematics for Electrical systems and equipment using CAD software
  • Interpret engineering designs, specifications, and sketches to produce accurate and precise drawings
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to understand project requirements and objectives
  • Ensure that drawings comply with industry standards, regulations, and project specifications
  • Maintain drawing files, documentation, and records in an organized manner
  • Assist in the preparation of material lists, cost estimates, and other project documentation as needed
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate work and meet project deadlines
  • Stay updated on advancements in CAD software and industry best practices

Education and Work Experience

Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or ITI Draughtsman well versed with basic design and CAD software knowledge. A balance of theoretical knowledge and practical experience (minimum 1 year), in Design and Drawing department.
