Purpose of the Role:
The Design Development Engineer will be responsible for mechanical design, sheet metal design and development, fabrication drawings, 3D modeling, engineering documentation, design optimization, and coordination with manufacturing teams for successful execution of projects.
The candidate should have strong experience in industrial product design, sheet metal structures, fabrication processes, assemblies, and engineering calculations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop sheet metal components, assemblies, and industrial products.
- Prepare 3D models, fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and BOMs.
- Develop detailed engineering documentation and design standards.
- Create sheet metal flat patterns and manufacturing-ready drawings.
- Perform tolerance analysis and engineering calculations.
- Coordinate with production, fabrication, laser cutting, bending, and welding teams.
- Optimize designs for manufacturing, cost reduction, and assembly efficiency.
- Support prototype development and production troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
- Maintain engineering records and revision control using PDM/PLM systems.

- Autodesk Inventor
- SolidWorks Sheet Metal
- AutoCAD Mechanical
- Autodesk Vault

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
