About SCADA System

Supervisory control and data acquisition

(SCADA) is a control system architecture comprising computers, networked data communications and graphical user interfaces for high-level supervision of machines and processes. It also covers sensors and other devices, such as programmable logic controllers, which interface with process plants or machinery.

Using the SCADA system data can be monitored, logged, printed in report form or can be sent to the user via. E-mail provided internet facility is available.

In the Marine industry SCADA system plays a major role in a system like Alarm Monitoring systems (AMS), Automatic Power Management systems (APMS) or Integrated Platform Management systems (IPMS).

The SCADA system may consist of one or more operator workstations. The user can monitor the data from any workstation at a time and it’s possible to control the machinery for the same workstation by taking the control from the Master workstation.

In the Alarm Monitoring System, it is possible to monitor all the alarms/status of a vessel interfaced with AMS.
